Arlington West: The Film

a documentary film by Sally Marr and Peter Dudar

"This is a must see film that will move most people to tears, whether they are peace activists, people who may have supported the war in Iraq or people who have been undecided.

Arlington West Memorial is a project of Veterans for Peace. The documentary of this project, Arlington West: The Film, is 74 minutes long and features 105 interviews, mostly with young soldiers who have been to Iraq, who talk about their experiences there. Arlington West also features members of Gold Star Families For Peace who’s sons died in Iraq. Among these parents are Cindy Sheehan, Fernando Suarez, Jane Bright, Bill Mitchell, Vickie Castro, Nadia McCaffrey, and Karen Meredith.

Arlington West: The Film is being shown in classrooms and at assemblies in hundreds of high schools and colleges across America to thousands of students. This beautifully made and very powerful film is providing students with the information they need to make an educated decision about joining the military.

Film makers Peter Dudar and Sally Marr are Classical artists, peace activists and humanitarians. They put together a work that will reach people on many different levels. The Chopin piano music, beautifully performed by Peter Dudar, makes the journey through this film all the more poignant and meaningful. I give Arlington West my highest rating and recommend that you see it ASAP!" —Frank Dorrel
