Summary describing your organization: The Ventura County Chapter 112 (VCVFP, chapter 112) was founded in August, 2004, as a result of the Iraq War begun in 2003. Once founded, Chapter 112 simultaneously began a focused program of disclosing military alternative careers to local area high school students. Known as counter recruiting we courteously invoke the designation, “informed enlistment”. VFP alternative to the military brochures can be found in local area high school career centers.
The local chapter continues to conduct educational forums and tabling informationals within the various County communities. Such informationals include tabling at events like the MLK, Jr. annual program, Earth Day, Multicultural Festival, Ojai Peace Day, Juneteenth Festival, Ventura College invitations, Native American Pow Wows, and more. When you join VFP, you join at the national office, subsequently, your membership is then routed to the roster of Chapter 112. Please visit the chapter 112 website at vfpvc.org. Click on Join to become a member. If you prefer to join by check, send check to: Veterans for Peace, 3407 S. Jefferson Ave., #219, St. Louis, MO 63118 website: www.veteransforpeace.org.
